Dan Dare – Sci-fi Travel Poster

An homage to 1950's British sci-fi comic book hero Dan Dare, this illustration was recently completed for "Planet Pulp". The feedback has been so overwhelmingly positive, that releasing a print seemed the best thing to do. Terra Nova was the title of one of Frank Hampson's final Dan Dare strips. I truly hope this print evokes memories & nostalgia of a truly Great British comic character. This strictly limited edition A3 sized print features an original Hand Drawn Creative illustration, professionally printed in Belfast, using the finest textured paper (Nettuno Bianco Artico 140GSM) Only 20 copies printed.

This illustration was originally produced for Illustrator's collective gallery site Planet Pulp. The theme was 'Fictional Travel Poster' so I researched a lot of old Eagle comic strips from the 50s for ideas, settling on an old Dan Dare storyline by Frank Hampson.
